In one of the most interesting tests we have done at HubPages is a small test with video. My first video is about how to make apple pie following a traditional homemade pie recipe. The video is embedded in the page and follows a microformat that should be ingested by Google. I’m looking to see a few things from this test. Will the video show up in the video results quickly, will the text show up in the organic rankings? I’ll be following how this content performs closely.
I don’t think it is going to get injested correctly in Google with the tags as is.
There are a couple of things that need fixing/tuning:
1) The video_src and image_src tags should be

Quick summary of what I wrote before (I’ll spread it out over 2 comments.
1) video_src and image_src tags need to be tags with rel=”video_src” etc. your page is now using meta instead of link
2) I would suggest that you use facebook OG tagging as well as Schema.org tagging for videos
3) You could also use schema.orgs tags for the recipes because they have a thorough schema for recipes
4) Google only uses Video tagging for now to improve video search and not web search according to their page here:

Thanks for the catch on the meta. Fixed that. The video results should rank the video, but the article should show in the regular results…it will be interesting to see how much crowding out happens within the blended search results.
